A gyroscope sensor captures twisting and turning movements, transforming how you measure 3D motion and inertial dynamics. Perfectly suited for 3D motion capture and inertial measurement, these sensors' declining prices now make high-performance, triple-axis gyros accessible to everyone.
This breakout board features the L3GD20H chip from STMicro, an enhanced version of the L3G4200, providing three axes of sensing. It offers selectable sensitivity ranging from ±250, ±500, to ±2000 degrees per second. Integrated high and low pass filters simplify data processing tasks, making it efficient and effective.
The versatile chip supports both I2C and SPI protocols, ensuring seamless interaction with any microcontroller platform. Addressing compatibility issues, the board includes level shifting circuitry, enabling safe interaction with Arduino's 5V interface along with a 3.3V regulator for 5V power sources.
Designed for easy integration, the PCB is equipped with four 2.1mm mounting holes for firm attachment using #2-56 imperial or M2 screws. Quick setup involves connecting the sensor to an Arduino's SDA, SCL, ground, and power pins. The supplied user-friendly Arduino library outputs XYZ sensor data, streamlining your projects efficiently.
