Opencircuit 6-DOF (gyroscope and accelerometer) module (GY-521)

This module contains an MPU-6050 6-Axis motion controller and a 2.5V voltage regulator which makes this module operate at a voltage of 3V to 5V. By means of the I2C protocol, only a few wires are needed to connect this module.

The MPU-6050 sensor contains a MEMS accelerometer and a MEMS gyroscope combined in one chip. This is very precise, because it contains a 16-bit analog to digital converter for each channel. As a result, the x, y, and z channels can be read out simultaneously.
