Adafruit 9-DOF Accel/Mag/Gyro+Temp Breakout Board - LSM9DS1

Add motion, direction, and orientation sensing to your Arduino project with this all-in-one 9-DOF sensor. Inside the chip are three sensors: a 3-axis accelerometer to measure gravity and acceleration, a 3-axis magnetometer to detect magnetic north, and a 3-axis gyroscope for spin and twist measurement. By combining these inputs, precise orientation detection is achieved.

This breakout board features the LSM9DS1, offering improvements over the LSM9DS0, with adjustable accelerometer ranges of ±2/±4/±8/±16 g, and magnetometer ranges of ±4/±8/±12/±16 gauss. Both models share gyroscope ranges of ±245/±500/±2000 dps. Slightly different accuracy parameters exist, but the LSM9DS1 is available at a lower cost.

The board includes I2C and SPI interfaces for versatile connectivity, and attaching to an Arduino is straightforward with power lines and data wiring. Fully assembled and tested, it comes with header pins for breadboard use. Four mounting holes ensure a stable setup, with power and data pins conveniently grouped.
