SparkFun XBee Explorer Regulated

The SparkFun XBee Explorer Regulated is a versatile tool that simplifies the interfacing process with XBee modules. It provides 3.3V regulation, signal conditioning, and essential activity indicators such as Power, RSSI, and DIN/DOUT activity LEDs. It can convert 5V serial signals to 3.3V, allowing a 5V (down to 3.3V) system to connect with any XBee module. The board is designed to directly mate with the SparkFun Arduino Pro series of boards for wireless bootloading and USB-based configuration.

The SparkFun XBee Explorer Regulated is compatible with all XBee modules, including Series 1 and 2, standard and Pro versions. By plugging an XBee into this breakout, users gain direct access to the serial and programming pins on the XBee unit and can power the XBee with 5V.

This board comes fully equipped with a 3.3V regulator (5V max input), an XBee socket, four status LEDs, and level shifting. The latest revision of the board replaces the diode level shifter with a more robust MOSFET level shifter. Please note that the board does not include an XBee module.

It's important to note that this board cannot source the power required for the Cellular XBee line. It is only compatible with the 802.15.4 variants.
