Two separate configurable power-supply rails power the 4-bit noninverting translator. The A port, designed to track VCCA, accepts a supply voltage from 1.2V to 3.6V. On the other hand, the B port, designed to track VCCB, accepts any supply voltage from 1.65V to 5.5V. This feature allows for universal low-voltage bidirectional translation between any of the 1.2-V, 1.5-V, 1.8-V, 2.5-V, 3.3-V, and 5-V voltage nodes. Please note, VCCA should not exceed VCCB. SparkFun has conveniently broken out each pin on this module for easy access to both the A and B ports.
This Voltage-Level Translator Breakout is perfect for projects that require interfacing with devices operating at different voltage levels. Whether you're designing a multi-voltage communication system or developing a low-power consumption device, this breakout board will simplify the process and enhance your project's performance.
Features of the SparkFun Voltage-Level Translator Breakout - TXB0104 include a VCC Isolation Feature – if either VCC input is at GND, all outputs are in the high-impedance state, and an OE Input Circuit referenced to VCC. It also boasts low power consumption, with a maximum ICC of 5-μA.
Documentation is readily available for the SparkFun Voltage-Level Translator Breakout - TXB0104, including a schematic, Eagle Files, datasheet, hookup guide, and GitHub resources. These resources provide valuable information and guidance for using the breakout board effectively.
