Adafruit Pimoroni Speaker pHAT for Raspberry Pi Zero

The Pimoroni Speaker pHAT is a compact audio enhancement for your Pi, featuring an I2S DAC, mono amplifier, a tiny 8Ω 2W speaker, and a 10 LED bar graph, all in a minimalist pHAT design.

This versatile gadget is perfect for projects needing speech, notifications, or light music. Combine it with a USB microphone for a voice-activated assistant or set up audio notifications via a Flask API.

Specifications include an I2S audio DAC with a 3W mono amplifier (MAX98357A), default output of 0.45W/26.5dB, and 8Ω 2W Mylar speaker. The 10 bright LEDs driven by the SN3218 chip add a visual touch, reminiscent of an 80s boombox.

Compatible with Raspberry Pi 3, 2, B+, A+, and Zero, the kit requires soldering the female 40 pin header and speaker. It includes everything needed for assembly: Speaker pHAT, 8Ω speaker, 2x20 pin header, a piece of 5cm bare wire, plus bolts and nuts.
