Get your Particle Photon working efficiently with the PhoBot Robotics shield, a versatile board designed by Simon Monk. It's akin to a Motor Shield, seamlessly integrating with your Spark Core or Particle Photon to simplify small robot control.
The board employs a TB6612 dual H-bridge for bi-directional motor control. It manages one stepper motor or two brushed DC motors, using 4.5 to 13V DC power with approximately 1A current draw per motor. Two open drain 2A MOSFET outputs are available for other components such as solenoids or large LEDs.
Featuring sockets for an HC-SR04 sonar sensor and a breakout for 5V I2C interface sensors, the PhoBot offers flexibility in sensor integration. The board supplies 5V regulated power to your Photon or Core, with a maximum input voltage of 12V, ensuring safe and efficient energy management.
A companion C library is provided to quickly get your PhoBot operational, facilitating smooth control over your robotics creations. Note that this product includes only the PhoBot, not the Photon.
