Adafruit PM2.5 Air Quality Sensor and Breadboard Adapter Kit

Breathe easy, knowing you can track and sense the quality of the air around you with the PM2.5 Air Quality Sensor with Breadboard Adapter. This particulate sensor offers real-time, reliable measurement of PM2.5 dust concentrations.

The sensor utilizes laser scattering to measure particles and uses a microprocessor to calculate the equivalent particle diameter. It streams data at 9600 baud once per second, giving PM1.0, PM2.5, and PM10.0 concentrations in both standard and environmental units, along with particulate matter categorized by size bins.

Compatible with microcontrollers via UART input, the sensor can also connect to a USB-Serial converter for data parsing on a computer. It includes a sensor box, cable, and a 0.1"/2.54mm breakout board for easy wiring, requiring only power and one data pin.

Specifications include a 5V power supply and 3.3V logic. Note that cable assembly colors may vary, but functionality remains unchanged. For replacements, 1.25mm Pitch 8-pin 20cm cables are compatible.
