Adafruit Pimoroni LiPo SHIM

Having a discrete, slick, and tidy power supply is always tricky when taking a project on the go, but with the tiny Pimoroni LiPo Shim, roam the earth worry-free. This compact module offers an efficient power solution for all versions of Raspberry Pi. Simply solder the 0.8mm thick PCB directly to your GPIO header for a permanent fix, or use the included 2x6 0.1" female header for removable flexibility, albeit blocking GPIO pins.

The TPS61232 Step-Up Boost Converter from Texas Instruments powers the board, achieving up to 96% efficiency. It includes power and battery low indicator LEDs. When in shutdown mode due to undervoltage or external selection, the quiescent current is just a 15uA sip. Note that this is not a charger, and a separate charger is needed for your LiPo/LiIon batteries. Pairing it with our Micro Lipo is recommended for optimal charging.
