Adafruit Red Electroluminescent (EL) Tape Strip - 100cm w/two connectors

EL tape offers a striking glow effect with its flat, wide design, providing a 1 cm glowing surface and a 1.5 cm weather-resistant plastic coating. Its adhesive backing makes it easy to attach to various surfaces, ideal for creative lighting applications.

Requiring a more powerful inverter than EL wire, this tape is shipped in 100 cm lengths with connectors at each end, allowing for easy cutting and usage in two separate pieces. Note that a 2xAA pocket inverter can only power up to 60 cm, while a 4xAAA inverter manages the full meter.

Expect a 50 cm strip to draw approximately 200 mA from 2xAA batteries, lasting around 10 hours in constant mode. Note that color and brightness may vary across EL materials, ensuring each project has a unique character.
