Adafruit EL wire 4xAAA pocket inverter

A compact, portable inverter perfect for powering Electroluminescent (EL) wire creations from four AAA batteries, effortlessly supporting up to 4 meters of high-brightness EL wire or 1 meter of EL tape for approximately 7 hours. Enjoy flexibility with an easy-to-use switch for steady, blink, or off modes, and four 2.5mm pitch female JST connectors designed to work seamlessly with all EL products we offer.

The snap-in JST cables allow customization, enabling use with as little as one connection. Note that the blink mode operates simultaneously on all connected strands. This inverter, non-sequencing in nature, accommodates direct connection of EL wire and tape, or use with a male connector wire for 'raw' EL wire segments.

The EL inverter requires engagement with at least 2 feet of EL wire to maintain stability; running it otherwise can lead to damage through voltage spikes. We recommend using foam tape or weatherstripping inside the unit to dampen the slight oscillation noise inherent to inverters.
