Adafruit Panel Current Meter - 0 to 9.99A

Put a current meter anywhere with this versatile panel meter, equipped with a bright red LED display. It operates on a DC voltage range of 4.5-30V, thanks to its reverse-polarity protection. Featuring a microcontroller, it reads current through the built-in shunt resistance, making the current display clear and precise.

With two sets of wires, thin for power and thick for sensing, setup is straightforward. Use a separate 9V battery to power the meter for safe, isolated current measurement. Alternatively, power and sense the same circuit by implementing low-side sensing. This avoids short circuits by placing the ammeter just below the ground connection of the sensed circuit.

The display, with its 3-digit 0.56" tall 7-segment design, offers a crisp visual of current in amps, drawing only about 20mA to operate. Install the meter easily by cutting a 45.5mm × 26.5mm rectangle for a snug fit in your enclosure, optimizing ease of use in various electronic projects.
