Add an ear to your project with this well-designed electret microphone amplifier. This fully assembled and tested board features a 20-20KHz electret microphone soldered on, utilizing the Maxim MAX4466 op-amp for precise amplification.
The amplifier's excellent power supply noise rejection ensures superior sound quality, avoiding the noise and scratchiness seen in other mic amplifiers. It is ideal for applications such as voice changers, audio recording, and audio-reactive projects using FFT.
A trimmer pot on the back allows gain adjustment from 25x to 125x. Configure it to suit line-level inputs or microcontroller ADCs with output up to 5Vpp. Connecting is straightforward: attach GND to ground and VCC to 2.4-5VDC, utilizing the quietest supply available.
The OUT pin provides a DC-biased audio waveform, perfect for microcontroller connections. For AC-coupled audio equipment, use a 100uF capacitor. This output is not suited for driving speakers directly without an audio amplifier.
Incorporate this mic into projects like an audio-reactive pendant or experiment with sound modulation. Equip your innovations with the clarity and versatility that this electret microphone amplifier brings.
