Adafruit 40-pin ZIF socket

A ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) Socket simplifies the process of inserting and removing chips without risk of damage. Ideal for chip programmers and testing scenarios, it uses a lever mechanism: simply raise the lever to place the chip and lower it to secure it in place.

Designed to accommodate DIP chips up to 40 pins and 0.6 inches wide, it's adaptable to various chip sizes. The socket can seamlessly snap into existing circuit boards or sockets configured for a 40-pin 0.6-inch chip, reducing the need for redesigning the board.
