Adafruit DS18B20 Digital temperature sensor + extras

These 1-wire digital temperature sensors deliver high precision with an accuracy of ±0.5°C across much of the temperature range. Offering up to 12 bits of resolution thanks to the onboard digital-to-analog converter, they ensure precise measurements for your projects. Compatible with any microcontroller, they utilize a single digital pin, enabling multiple sensors to be connected simultaneously without conflict, thanks to the unique 64-bit ID assigned to each at the factory.

The sensors function well with systems ranging from 3.0 to 5.0 volts, providing flexible integration. However, they rely on the Dallas 1-Wire protocol, which necessitates complex coding to decode communication. A robust Arduino library specifically supports this protocol, offering a solution for those using compatible microcontrollers. Be cautious, though, as some microcontrollers might not support 1-Wire at all.

To facilitate setup, a 4.7k resistor is included, essential for pulling up the data line to the VCC. This addition simplifies the building process, ensuring that you have everything needed to get started, along with the Dallas Temperature Control Arduino library and OneWire Library.
