SparkFun MicroMod STM32 Processor

The SparkFun MicroMod STM32 Processor Board is a powerhouse with an ARM® Cortex®-M4 32-bit RISC core. This compact and economical Processor Board is perfect for projects that require more power in a limited space. The M.2 MicroMod connector makes hooking up your STM32 Processor a seamless task. The STM32 is one of the most potent and cost-effective microcontrollers available, making it a valuable addition to your MicroMod Carrier Board.

The STM32F405 Processor from STMicroelectronics operates on the high-performance ARM® Cortex®-M4 32-bit RISC core and can operate at a frequency of up to 168 MHz. This core features a single precision floating point unit (FPU) that supports all ARM single precision data-processing instructions and data types. It also implements a full set of DSP instructions and a memory protection unit (MPU) that enhances application security. The Processor Board uses the DFU bootloader for uploading code and boasts an extensive range of enhanced I/Os and peripherals. To complement the STM32F405 processor, SparkFun has added an additional 128Mb (16MB) serial flash memory chip to the underside of the board.

MicroMod is a modular interface ecosystem that connects a microcontroller “processor board” to various “carrier board” peripherals. The MicroMod standard, which utilizes the M.2 standard, is designed to easily swap out processors on the fly. Pair a specialized carrier board for the project you need with your choice of compatible processor!

The SparkFun MicroMod STM32 Processor Board includes general features like ARM® 32-bit Cortex®-M4 CPU with FPU, 1 MB of Flash memory, 192 Kbytes of SRAM, flexible static memory controller, clock, reset and supply management, low-power operation, debug mode, and advanced connectivity. It also includes specific peripherals like UART, Two I²C Buses, SPI Bus, PDM Audio Processing, Two Dedicated Analog Inputs, Two Dedicated Digital I/O Pins, Two Dedicated PWM Pins, Nine General Purpose I/O Pins, and 16MB flash storage.
