SparkFun Ardumoto Shield Kit

The SparkFun Ardumoto Shield Kit is a comprehensive package that provides all the necessary components for Arduino enthusiasts to set up a simple two-motor-circuit robot. The kit includes an Ardumoto Shield, pairs of tires, motors, connectors and wires, all packed in a signature SparkFun red box, which could also serve as a robot chassis.

The Ardumoto Shield is a user-friendly dual-motor controller for Arduino. When combined with an Arduino, it serves as a fantastic controller platform for RC vehicles or even small autonomous robots. The key component of the Ardumoto is the L298, a favored dual-channel motor driver, capable of driving up to 2A per channel. The board is powered from the same Vin line as the Arduino board and includes blue and yellow LEDs to indicate active direction. All driver lines are diode protected from back EMF.

Please note that the motors included in this kit are not compatible with the Wheel Encoder kit.
