Adafruit Nordic nRF-PPK2 - Power Profiler Kit II

The Power Profiler Kit II is an efficient standalone unit designed to measure and optionally supply currents from sub-microamps to 1A across all Nordic DKs and external hardware. A high-value tool with unmatched capabilities that rival others at tenfold the cost.

Powered through a standard 5V USB, it can deliver up to 500mA. Use two USB connections for a 1A current supply. Select between source and ampere modes for flexible power analysis; source mode powers devices with VCC levels between 0.8 and 5V, while ampere mode supports external supply.

With the ability to measure low sleep currents, higher active currents, and short peaks, it masterfully handles the dynamic range of low-power embedded applications. Resolution varies between 100nA and 1mA, enabling detection of minute spikes within optimized systems.

The PPK2 features digital input use as a basic logic analyzer, achieving code-synchronized measurements. The DUT requires a VCC of 1.6-5.5V to utilize this feature, revealing executed code over time. Sampling at 100ksps ensures continuous, high-resolution data capture.

Designed for compatibility across Mac, Windows, and Linux, it sends data to a computer via the dedicated Power Profiler app within the nRF Connect for Desktop framework. The app presents both average acquisitions and high-resolution events in a single window. Export data for advanced analysis.

Each kit includes a PPK2 PCB with plastic casing, jumper cables, and a 10-pin logic port cable to harness the digital inputs. Micro USB cable not included.
