The SCD-40 is a photoacoustic CO2 sensor that provides precise CO2 PPM readings from ambient air. Unlike sensors that estimate CO2 levels from VOC data, the SCD-40 offers direct CO2 measurement.
Benefits include reliable environmental sensing, ideal for air quality and ventilation studies. With I2C data output, it's compatible with microcontrollers, and easy integration is facilitated by Arduino and Python code support.
The sensor is available in two variants: the cost-effective SCD-40 for indoor/outdoor use, with a range of 400~2000 ppm, and the SCD-41, suitable for industrial settings, ranging between 400~5000 ppm. Both offer high accuracy with included voltage regulation and noise reduction for stable operation.
Equipped with STEMMA QT connectors, the sensor supports solderless connections with SparkFun Qwiic and can be easily integrated into various projects, thanks to a wide voltage operation range of 3.3 to 5V.
