Adafruit Carbide Square End Mill - 1/8" Shaft - 0.8mm Diameter

If designing your own PCBs using Eagle or KiCad, a CNC mill can bring your creations to life by routing out the PCB with precision. These end mills were initially procured for the Othermill but are compatible with a wide range of precise CNC machines.

Unlike drill bits, which only cut in axial directions, end mills allow versatile movement, enabling cuts in any direction—side to side, up and down. The tungsten carbide construction ensures high hardness, wear resistance, and sharpness, making them ideal for cutting PCBs, soft metals, and other materials.

Featuring a relatively long 8mm flute, these end mills perform well despite their size, offering a balance between efficiency and affordability. While carbide bits gradually dull, each mill can effectively cut for approximately 5 hours before replacement is necessary. Each package includes a 0.8mm carbide end mill, securely housed in a protective plastic case.
