This budget pack is a versatile collection designed for seamless experimentation with the Adafruit Metro 328 and Arduino IDE, perfect for home, school, or work environments. No soldering required!
The Metro is a highly accessible Arduino-compatible board. It features the reliable ATmega328P chip, providing 32KB of flash memory and 2KB of RAM, running at 16 MHz like the Arduino UNO. Power options include a 7-12V DC source or a micro USB connector, with an easy on/off switch for quick control. It automatically switches between USB and DC power.
With 19 GPIO pins, including 6 analog inputs and 6 PWM outputs, the board also offers hardware SPI, I2C, and UART to USB capabilities. Its logic level is 5V, but it can easily be converted to 3.3V. The built-in USB to Serial converter facilitates seamless data communication and code updates. Four indicator LEDs assist with debugging, including power and UART activity LEDs.
Ready for easy programming with the pre-loaded Optiboot bootloader, the Metro is compatible with all Adafruit shields. The pack provides just the essentials, allowing flexibility in your choice of additional shields, sensors, and accessories.
Included in the pack are an assembled Adafruit Metro with protective rubber feet, a 3' USB cable, a half-sized breadboard with 400 connection points, and 65 flexible breadboard wires. It also includes essential components like potentiometers, pushbuttons, LEDs, and resistors, alongside a CdS photocell for light-sensing projects.
