Adafruit LSM6DSOX + LIS3MDL FeatherWing - Precision 9-DoF IMU

Upgrade any Feather board with precision motion sensing using the ST 9-DoF IMU, an all-in-one sensing Wing. It features two exceptional sensors from ST for comprehensive 9 degrees of full-motion data.

The board integrates an LSM6DSOX, a 6-DoF IMU accelerometer and gyro. It can identify the direction of gravity or measure acceleration in 3D space, while the 3-axis gyroscope accurately tracks spin and twist. Enjoy orientation fusion with reduced drift and quick responses, thanks to low gyro zero rate and noise as compared to the MPU6050 or LSM6DS33.

For the accelerometer, flexible data rates and ranges are available: ±2/±4/±8/±16 g at 1.6 Hz to 6.7 KHz update rate. The gyroscope covers ±125/±250/±500/±1000/±2000 dps at 12.5 Hz to 6.7 KHz. Extras include tap detection, activity monitoring, a pedometer, step counter, and a programmable finite state machine/machine learning core for basic gesture recognition.

It also includes a LIS3MDL 3-axis magnetometer for detecting the strongest magnetic force, useful for finding magnetic north. The combined data from the triple-axis sensors deliver 9 degrees of freedom to precisely orient the board.

Both sensors utilize a shared I2C bus, making them compatible with all Feather models. Interrupt pins and address-selection jumpers support multiple Feathers or I2C address conflicts. With Arduino (C/C++) and CircuitPython libraries, data readings are possible within minutes on any Feather board. Four mounting holes ensure a secure connection.

Easily integrate with two wires plus power and ground, and enjoy the SparkFun qwiic-compatible STEMMA QT connector for additional sensors, OLED displays, or other I2C devices using plug-and-play cables. ST offers advanced libraries for comprehensive functionalities like FIFO management and tap detection.

Fully tested and assembled with standard 0.1" headers, this product is ready for immediate use.
