Adafruit 8 MHz Ceramic Resonator / Oscillator

Keep your microcontroller efficient with a ceramic oscillator. These compact devices are compatible with breadboards (0.1" pin spacing) and simple to implement. Functioning similarly to crystals, they include built-in stability capacitors.

Key specifications:

• 0.5% accuracy, optimal for daily electronic applications and microcontroller tasks.
• Sufficient precision for UART or other baud-rate generation.

For ultra-high precision applications like USB timing, long-term time-keeping, RF/PLL/VCO driving, consider a crystal or temperature-compensated oscillator. To use, connect the two outer pins to XTAL-in and XTAL-out on your circuit (the package is symmetric, so use any outer pin) and the inner pin to ground. Refer to the datasheet for more specs.
