Bend all audio files to your will with the Adafruit Music Maker shield for Arduino! This powerful shield features the VS1053 codec chip, capable of decoding a wide variety of audio formats, including MP3, AAC, Ogg Vorbis, WMA, MIDI, FLAC, WAV, and more. Additionally, it records in PCM and Ogg Vorbis formats.
Enhance audio playback by adjusting bass, treble, and volume digitally. The lightweight SPI interface allows any Arduino to play audio from an SD card seamlessly. A special MIDI mode transforms the chip into a synth or drum machine, boasting numerous built-in drum and sample effects.
This shield is perfectly compatible with Arduino Uno, Leonardo, and Mega models. It includes an onboard 3W stereo audio amplifier, effectively driving 4 or 8 ohm speakers, optimized for both performance and power efficiency. Volume control is managed by the VS1053 chip.
Specifications: VS1053B codec chip, stereo audio out, 7 GPIOs for buttons or LEDs, MicroSD card socket, supports SD cards 64Mb and larger, and works on 3.3/5V level shifting. Supplies full MIDI synth/drum machine capabilities with diverse instruments.
Each package contains a fully-assembled and tested shield, terminal blocks, a male header, and female header for easy ICSP connection. Minimal soldering is required, and external components such as speakers, headphones, SD card, and Arduino are sold separately. Note: Board may arrive in blue or black.
