A Wheatstone bridge and the Adafruit NAU7802 breakout make monitoring strain and tension straightforward. This tool offers high-resolution 24-bit differential ADC with boosted gain and calibration for impeccable precision when measuring load cells or four-wire sensors.
Included components: NAU7802 ADC chip, support circuitry, four terminal blocks for seamless sensor connection.
Connection guide: The E- pad (ground, typically black) and the E+ pad (configurable voltage of 2.4V to 4.0V, typically red) ensure stable power supply. A- and A+ pads capture differential outputs from the bridge, commonly using white and green for a strain gauge.
The sensor's ability to detect minuscule resistance changes aids in transforming them into accurate force or mass readings. Utilize our Arduino library or CedarGrove's CircuitPython/Python library for seamless ADC configuration and data reading.
Note: Adafruit NAU7802 operates on a fixed I2C address. Employ a multiplexer for integrating multiple sensors on a single I2C bus.
