Adafruit 16x8 1.2" LED Matrix + Backpack - Ultra Bright Square Amber LEDs

With the 16x8 LED Matrix Backpack, transform your projects with double the matrix capacity using two 8x8 matrices on one board. This setup simplifies control with fewer pins and minimal wiring thanks to the integrated HT16K33 driver chip.

The driver chip features a built-in clock for multiplexing, ultra-bright, consistent color via constant-current drivers, and 1/16 step display dimming through a straightforward I2C interface. Achieve dynamic displays by linking up to eight matrices, connected with three address-selection jumpers on a single I2C bus.

The backpack is tested and assembled, including two ultra-bright amber matrices and a 4-pin header. Quick and easy soldering connects the matrices to the backpack, backed by a detailed Adafruit tutorial and custom library to have you running in under 30 minutes.
