This kit is perfect for those looking to augment their Experiential Robotics Platform (XRP) Kit with visual capabilities. The 5.08 cm capacitive touch LCD, designed to seamlessly connect with the XRP Control Board and Raspberry Pi Picos, provides an intuitive interface for real-time interaction. The display board features a connector for the Red Vision Camera Board - HM01B0 or similar camera boards, making it versatile for various applications.
The display board is equipped with a pair of 1 x 20 headers for easy connection to the XRP Control Board, a microSD card connector for memory expansion, and a Qwiic connector for direct integration with other Qwiic devices. Additionally, the I/O expander allows control over I/O pins on the display, camera, and SD card through an I2C interface.
The included Himax HM01B0 camera module, mounted on a breakout board, offers a 320 x 320 pixel resolution with frame rates up to 51 FPS at full resolution and 60 FPS in QVGA mode. For those prioritizing frame rate, a 2 x 2 monochrome binning mode supports up to 120 FPS. The motion detection feature, linked to an interrupt output, allows the camera to activate upon sensing motion, making it ideal for surveillance or interactive projects.
The camera board communicates video data via a configurable 1, 4, or 8-bit interface, featuring video frame synchronization for multiple cameras and line sync for composite images. With three oscillator options, users can select between the onboard 24 MHz oscillator, the HM01B0's internal 48 MHz oscillator, or an external clock input, ensuring flexibility and precision in various applications. The board also manages voltage regulation, converting a 3.3V supply to 2.8V for optimal camera operation.
