The SparkFun Qwiic SHIM for Raspberry Pi, a key component of this kit, is a compact, easily detachable breakout that enables the addition of a Qwiic connector to your Raspberry Pi. This SHIM allows you to connect directly to the Pi's I2C bus without the need for soldering. Thanks to its slim PCB design, it can be fitted onto your Pi GPIO alongside other HATS. The Qwiic SHIM is perfect if you don't need the full capabilities of the Qwiic pHAT for Raspberry Pi or if you're short on space for another HAT.
Please note that this kit does not include a Raspberry Pi. You will need to purchase a Raspberry Pi development board separately. The Hookup Accessories section provides options for Raspberry Pi, and the Includes tab lists everything that comes with this kit.
The SparkFun Qwiic Connect System is an ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields, and cables designed to make prototyping quicker and less error-prone. All Qwiic-enabled boards use a common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector, which minimizes the required PCB space. The polarized connections prevent incorrect hook-ups.
