
The GNSS Flex Breakout is designed as a comprehensive interface solution, offering a wide array of connection options for any project. With full pin access, the standard 2.54mm-pitch headers break out all module interfaces, including up to four UARTs, I²C, USB, SDIO, and dual PPS/Event signals. The dual-mode USB allows direct connection to your module's native USB port or use of the onboard CH342 USB-to-UART bridge for easy serial communication and configuration. This bridge can be quickly disabled for exclusive access to the UART pins.
For flight enthusiasts, the breakout includes two 6-pin JST connectors with the standard Pixhawk pinout, enabling plug-and-play connections to flight controllers or telemetry radios for receiving RTCM correction data. The board’s versatile power management allows powering your project via any USB connector or the dedicated VIN pin. Configurable voltage output lets you choose between 5V and 3.3V on the JST connectors, or isolate the circuit entirely, using the pin as a dedicated 5V input.
Onboard LEDs provide instant visual feedback on the status of your GNSS module, with indicators for Power, PPS lock, Position/Velocity/Time fix, and RTK fix. Depending on the GNSS Flex Module selected, an external antenna may be required. Users can connect an external GNSS antenna through the U.FL connector on the module. For a more robust connection, two SMA connectors are available on the breakout, each bridged to a U.FL connector, allowing for a secure setup with a short U.FL cable.
