Adafruit SMT Test Socket - SOIC-28 Wide Breakout

You know those ZIF sockets we have for DIP chips? This test socket is just like that, but for SMT parts! Ideal for programming and testing SOIC Wide packages, it supports any wide (300 mil) SOIC/SOP with up to 28 pins. Simply open the latch, place the chip, and close the top to secure it with gold fingers within the socket.

The socket is mounted on dual PCBs, effectively converting it to a 28-pin DIP with 0.45" spacing. Though this spacing isn't on a standard 0.1", the pins can be easily bent to fit into a breadboard without much hassle.
