For fans of the TMP36, a similarly efficient analog temperature sensor is now available featuring a 3-pin JST connector, also known as STEMMA connectors. The sensor is designed for use with microcontrollers equipped with an analog input, offering straightforward integration without the need for complex configurations or libraries.
Simply connect the wires: red to 3V to 5V DC power, black to ground, and white to an analog input. The voltage output ranges from 0V at -50°C to 1.75V at 125°C. Easily calculate the temperature in Celsius via the formula: Temp °C = 100*(reading in V) - 50.
Analog reference voltage settings, especially when paired with Arduino UNO or compatible devices, yield optimal readings. An external analog reference is advisable, with an AREF connection to 3.3V. Please note that a JST PH 3-pin cable is not included, though various types are available, such as those with alligator clips or headers.
