Adafruit Sewable USB Type C Power Jack Connector

If you'd like to connect a USB C connector to your favorite garment for a wearable tech project, explore this versatile array of sewable connectors. This Type C connector is oriented horizontally on a sewable base, featuring red and black wires running through the bottom for easy connectivity.

The jack is molded into a rubber that can be hand or machine-sewn through, allowing seamless integration into textiles. Simply connect the red wire for positive power and the black for negative ground. For added flexibility, it can also be glued, epoxied, or stapled onto a flat surface.

Note that the CC lines are not tied to anything, which may affect USB PD requests. Ensure your power adapter defaults to a 5V output if CC is not connected, especially when charging devices, as Macs in particular require CC lines for proper function.
