With Real Time Kinematics (RTK) capabilities, the module can function as a base station broadcasting RTK correction data or as a rover utilizing this data for pinpoint accuracy. It achieves a horizontal accuracy of 6mm, vertical accuracy of 1cm, and timing precision of 5ns. The mosaic-X5 can deliver position updates at 100Hz, making it ideal for automotive and industrial applications.
The mosaic-X5 integrates an internal web server accessible via USB with a standard browser on Linux or Windows. Septentrio offers extensive video tutorials to guide users through configuration settings. Additionally, software packages are available for post-processing data, configuring the module, and analyzing GNSS signals for interference or spoofing. Compatibility with third-party software packages adds to its versatility.
No programming skills are required to operate this board. Users can start/stop data logging with a button press and mount/unmount the SD card via the USB interface. For those who prefer a command-line interface, the module can be controlled and configured through a CLI, which is useful for production line testing.
This breakout board is perfect for projects requiring the integration of the mosaic-X5 module with access to most of its pins, similar to Septentrio's developer kit but in a smaller form factor. Whether you need a PPS output at a 3.3V logic level or other advanced features, this board has you covered. For more detailed information, refer to the features tab and the hookup guide.
Note: To fully utilize the multi-band capabilities of the mosaic-X5 module, pair it with a suitable GNSS antenna that supports all compatible frequency bands. The GNSS Multi-Band L1/L2/L5 Surveying Antenna - TNC (SPK6618H) is recommended.
