Adafruit Pimoroni Pico VGA Demo Base - RP2040 VGA Multimedia Board

Built especially to showcase the low-cost, feature-rich RP2040 chip on the Raspberry Pi Pico, this board boasts VGA output, an SD card slot, and digital I2S audio output. Based on the reference design by Raspberry Pi, our Pimoroni Pico VGA Demo Base enables exciting experiments with Raspberry Pi Pico/RP2040. Generate solid VGA output without taxing the CPU, and enjoy the unique charm of 15-bit analog video and warm, RC-filtered PWM audio.

This board supports various video example programs curated by Raspberry Pi to highlight RP2040 features. It's important to note that the VGA Demo Base is currently compatible with the C/C++ Pico SDK. Additionally, a Raspberry Pi Pico is required but not included, and will need male headers for board connectivity.

Specifications include a 15-pin VGA connector, PCM5100A DAC for I2S audio, PWM audio output, an SD card slot, and reset button. Female headers are provided to install your Raspberry Pi Pico along with three user-controllable switches and rubber feet. It’s compatible with Raspberry Pi Pico and requires no soldering if header pins are pre-attached to your Pico.
