Smart RGB+White LEDs bring a vibrant spectrum to your fingertips. The NeoPixel sticks boast four distinct LEDs: red, green, blue, and white, providing versatile lighting effects. Each LED is individually controllable, allowing you to create captivating LED arrangements effortlessly.

This version features Warm White RGBW LEDs, but variants such as Natural White, Cool White, and traditional RGB are available. The NeoPixel's unique composition offers half RGB and half white LED with yellow phosphor, resembling a tiny egg yolk. When illuminated, these LEDs emit an intensely bright light and achieve 32-bit color control through 8-bit PWM per channel.

Perfect for projects requiring a multitude of colorful, vibrant dots, these LEDs are built into a compact board with 8 smart 5050 RGBW LEDs. The design is efficient, employing a single microcontroller pin to drive as many LEDs as you can chain, each capable of maintaining consistent color due to the ~18mA constant current drive.

Power the NeoPixel stick with 5VDC (compatible with 4-7V) and manage them using a protocol operating at 800 KHz, requiring precise timing. Despite having a PWM rate of ~400 Hz, for smoother motion illumination, DotStars are recommended with a 20 KHz PWM rate.

Each LED stick is chainable by linking the output of one to the input of another. A real-time microcontroller such as an AVR, Arduino, PIC, or mbed is recommended due to the timing sensitivity of the communication protocol, which is unsuitable for Linux-based microcomputers.
