This warm-white glowy letter is crafted using COB (chip on board) LEDs, widely recognized in 'Edison-like' LED bulbs, arranged for a bright and inviting warm light effect. Created from numerous micro LED diodes, each is secured on a rigid metal backing and coated with silicone for durability.
Though the LEDs are set on one side, the thin PCB substrate allows a subtle glow from the back. Designed for ease of use, only a 3V power source is needed to illuminate them—using a resistor to limit the current to 100mA is advisable. Important to note, these letters are not flexible but offer a consistent luminous glow that closely resembles a tungsten filament.
Lightweight and versatile, form them into words; they can be easily affixed to surfaces, sewn onto fabric, or tied with fishing line. As simple 'big long LEDs', they're easily dimmable via PWM. Power up with a 3V connection to both ends—the cathode negative side is marked with a small - symbol on the PCB for easy identification.
If the light doesn't illuminate right away, adjust the connection orientation. The letters are compatible with Arcade Button Quick-Connect Wire Pairs or can be soldered directly to the bottom tabs, offering flexible installation options.
