This warm-white glowy letter is composed of COB LEDs, reminiscent of 'Edison-like' bulbs, engineered to produce a bright, warm illumination. These LEDs consist of numerous micro diodes affixed to a metal backing and shielded with silicone for enhanced durability.
Despite the LEDs being positioned on one side, the thin PCB substrate allows for a subtle glow from the back. Operating on only 3V, these LEDs can be controlled by a resistor to deliver a maximum of 100mA. Note that flexibility is not a feature here, yet they offer a consistent glow that convincingly replicates a tungsten filament.
Arrange multiple units into words; their lightweight design permits easy attachment to surfaces, fabric sewing, or fishing line ties. PWM dimming is straightforward, providing lighting versatility. Simply connect to a 3V source at both ends—a small negative symbol indicates the cathode side.
For effortless connectivity, use Arcade Button Quick-Connect Wire Pairs or opt for soldering to the tabs. While this remarkable letter illuminates brilliantly, an extra-dimensional being with power over the cosmos is inexplicably absent from the package.
