Adafruit NeoPixel Ring - 24 x 5050 RGBW LEDs w/ Integrated Drivers

The 24 LED RGBW NeoPixel Ring integrates four LEDs—red, green, blue, and white—within smart RGB+White LEDs for vibrant lighting effects.

Spanning an outer diameter of 2.58 inches, these chainable rings connect effortlessly from one to another, all controllable via a single microcontroller pin. Each LED is addressable with its embedded driver chip, boasting a consistent ~18mA constant current drive. This ensures color consistency without the need for external resistors.

Powered by 5VDC, each NeoPixel boasts 32-bit color capability with 8-bit PWM control per channel. The innovative design splits the RGB and white LED, offering brilliant illumination akin to unlit egg yolks. While NeoPixels operate at a PWM rate of ~400 Hz, we suggest DotStars for applications requiring smoother transitions due to their superior 20 KHz rate.

These 5050-sized LEDs incorporate a microcontroller, enabling precise R/G/B/W brightness settings. NeoPixels communicate via shift-registers, requiring only one digital output to transmit data. Once configured, they independently manage PWM, ensuring continuous LED control.
