Adafruit NeoKey Socket Breakout for Mechanical Key Switches with NeoPixel

The Adafruit NeoKey Breakout transforms your mechanical key setup into a vibrant experience with its capability to glow in any color. Measuring just 0.75" x 0.85", it easily accommodates any Cherry MX or compatible switch.

Equipped with a Kailh socket, it allows for plug-and-play convenience without the need for soldering. It includes a 1N4148 diode to prevent key ghosting in key-grid matrices, ensuring reliable performance.

A reverse-mount NeoPixel is incorporated to create dynamic lighting effects, with input and output pins available for chaining multiple boards. This flexibility allows the creation of a unified NeoPixel strand.

Each board features straightforward pin configurations for ease of use. It includes VDD and GND for power, with In and Out pins for NeoPixel control. The Switch Anode and Cathode pins offer compatibility with different circuitry setups.

The compact design features two rows of 5-pin contacts for robust connections, making it ideal for various projects. Please note, the package includes an assembled PCB and a break-off header. A mechanical switch and keycap are not provided, offering compatibility with any MX-compatible switch like Kailh or Gateron.
