Adafruit IC Socket - for 28-pin 0.6" Chips - Pack of 3

An IC socket offers effortless integration and removal of chips in electronic projects, ensuring flexibility and convenience. This set includes three 28-pin sockets with a 0.6-inch width, perfectly suited for chips with 28 pins (2x14) and matching pin spacing.

Ideal for applications such as soldering onto a Perma Proto board or printed circuit board (PCB), these sockets facilitate seamless chip swapping without the need to redesign the board. They are not suitable for skinny 28-pin chips or solderless breadboards due to pin length limitations.

Compatible with many projects, these sockets share uniform pin spacing, guaranteeing easy board design without modifications. In our demonstration, the sockets were used with an Adafruit Perma-Proto Breadboard, showcasing their versatility with any solderable PCB or protoboard.
