Adafruit 40-pin TFT Friend - FPC Breakout with LED Backlight Driver

This breakout board makes working with 'dot-clock' 40-pin TFT displays easy and efficient. Designed to handle displays requiring continuous RGB pixel data, it turns complex setups into manageable tasks.

Equipped with a TPS61169-based backlight driver, it defaults to 25mA but can boost up to 24VDC, accommodating up to 7-LED strings. Adjust the backlight current by shorting out jumpers to fit your display’s needs.

The board features a labeled layout and a 40-pin FPC, allowing you to probe each pin conveniently. Compatible with 4.3" and 5.0" TFT displays, it pairs seamlessly for optimal backlight settings—25mA for 4.3" displays and 50mA for 5.0".

While the header and TFT display are not included, this assembled and tested PCB is a valuable tool for those equipped with a microprocessor capable of supporting dot-clock-type TFTs, serving as an excellent wiring assistant for advanced projects.
