Adafruit Cold Splice Wire Tap (UB) - 10 pack

Kiss those days of heat shrink, melted jacketing, and clumsily arranged third-hand tools goodbye! Go 'cold splice' with these snap-able plastic splices for fast connections.

Use with any 22-26 AWG solid-core wire by slipping them into the plastic splice, so they slide into the metal teeth. Then, squeeze down with parallel-jaw or slip joint pliers for a secure fit. Avoid using needle-noses as they lack the right angle and force. A panavise works well for a firm squeeze.

This is a wire-tap splice. Slide one half over an existing 22-26 AWG solid-core wire, then tap into it with another wire. It's an easy way to tap into an existing wire without having to resort to complex cut-solder techniques.

The splices contain a bit of silicone jelly to prevent oxidation, making them slightly weatherproof, but not waterproof. Comes in a convenient pack of 10 pieces! Keep some handy in your drawer for whenever you need a fast, reliable wire tap.
