Adafruit SMT Test Socket - SOIC-8 Narrow Breakout

This test socket operates like a ZIF for SMT parts, specially designed for SOIC-8 packages. It's crafted for any SOIC/SOP "Narrow" 8-pin chip in a 150mil wide body. Effortlessly program and test chips by pressing down on the top, inserting the chip, and releasing to secure it with gold 'fingers'.

The socket, non-compatible with 200mil or wider chips, is soldered onto dual PCBs, transforming it into a 16-pin DIP with 0.6" spacing, perfect for easy breadboarding. Using only 8 operational pins, with the additional 8 providing stability, ensures seamless integration into your setup.
