Two LEDs in series ensure even coloring, allowing for flexible brightness control; run them at lower currents to conserve energy or up to 20mA for maximum brilliance.

This common-cathode, multiplexed design can be controlled using a 74HC595 or simply 8 microcontroller pins, managing the 8 anodes with approximately 15mA each. Integrate NPN transistors or a TPIC6B595 to handle up to 120mA per digit for peak output.

While this version is a raw display requiring some assembly effort, we also offer a convenient backpack version with an LED driver for seamless integration.
