Adafruit Coin Acceptor - Programmable 4 Coin Type

This handy coin validator/acceptor module resembles those common in arcades. With the ability to accept up to four different coins, it can be programmed to recognize 4 US coins, or coins from diverse international sources such as a Chinese Yuan and Euro. Suitable for coins 15mm to 29mm in diameter, it assigns pulse numbers to each coin type, facilitating easy transaction tracking.

When a valid coin is inserted, the module's output line pulses for 20-60ms, configurable to your needs. It also evaluates criteria like diameter, thickness, and dropping speed to validate coins. The package includes the acceptor, mounting hardware, and a power/signal cable. Programming involves using around 20 sample coins and connecting a pullup resistor to a microcontroller.
