Adafruit SpokePOV Kit

This unassembled SpokePOV kit is equipped with electronic components and a circuit board for a unique bike wheel display. It includes 4K memory for storing up to four animation images and features 60 high-brightness LEDs, with 30 on each side.

Installation requires a USBtiny for image uploads and a magnet to attach to the frame for activation, both not included. The LEDs are available in red, yellow, and blue, suitable for various wheel types, including MTB and road wheels with at least a 9.5-inch radius and BMX wheels with a 6.5-inch radius minimum.

For specialized use, such as BMX or smaller bicycles, the circuit board may need modification following instructions from the assembly webpage. Depending on the number of spokes used, the display can be optimized—from high-speed persistence at 15mph with one spoke to a leisurely 7mph with three.
