Fast track your Android phone hardware development or design cell-phone robots with the Arduino ADK. This microcontroller board is based on the robust ATmega2560 and is equipped with a USB host interface for seamless connection with Android phones. It includes a power supply boost converter to charge your phone from DC power while it's connected to the ADK.
The R3 version is now available, offering pin-compatibility with the MEGA R3, and features an IOREF pin along with duplicated SCL/SDA pins next to the AREF pin. Fully compatible with all of Android's Accessory Development Kit examples, it also functions like the Arduino Mega you already love.
The board includes 54 digital input/output pins (14 of which can be used as PWM outputs), 16 analog inputs, 4 UARTs for hardware serial communication, a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, USB connection, power jack, ICSP header, and a reset button. Connecting sensors, LEDs, motors, and more to your Android-based phone has never been easier.
