This warm-white glowy letter is crafted from COB (chip on board) LEDs, replicating the aesthetic of 'Edison-like' LED bulbs. It offers bright, warm lighting by arranging dozens of micro LED diodes on a durable metal backing, safeguarded with a silicone coating.
The LEDs, placed on a thin PCB substrate, provide both front and subtle back illumination. Operational at just 3V, a current limit resistor is advisable to maintain a maximum flow of 100mA. Although inflexible, these LEDs emit a consistent glow reminiscent of tungsten filaments, and can be used creatively by gluing, sewing, or tying them into words or patterns.
For convenience, these LEDs are PWM dimmable and simply powered by connecting to both ends, marked with a negative (-) cathode sign on the PCB for polarity guidance. If initially unresponsive, reverse the connection direction. Compatible with Arcade Button Quick-Connect Wire Pairs - 0.11" or suitable for soldering/clipping at the base tabs.
