Description

If you're using a classic Arduino UNO or other 5V microcontroller and want to employ the Qwiic/Stemma QT standard, this adapter board bridges the gap seamlessly. Adafruit Stemma QT breakout boards handle both 3V and 5V input safely, but this isn’t true for all Qwiic and I2C devices, which could get damaged by high voltages. This shifter breakout board provides a reliable solution, converting 5V signals to 3.3V effortlessly.

On one side, it accepts 5V power and logic input, while the middle houses a 3.3V regulator offering up to 500mA with level shifting circuitry. On the opposite side, sensors and devices receive perfectly adjusted 3.3V I2C signals, accommodating the vast array of non-5V compatible components.

Accessible breadboard breakout pins also allow it to function as a QT-to-perfboard adapter. Compatible Stemma QT connectors facilitate solderless connections, enabling easy integration with development boards and modular system expansions via compatible cables. The QT Cable, available separately, expands its versatility further.
