This warm-white glowy letter is crafted from COB LEDs, commonly seen in Edison-style bulbs, arranged to emit a bright, cozy light. Constructed from dozens of micro LED diodes, they are bonded on a sturdy metal backing and coated in silicone for protection.
The thin PCB substrate allows a glow from the back, albeit dimmer, with the LEDs configured in parallel requiring just 3V to illuminate. It's advised to use a resistor for current limitation to a maximum of 100mA. Note, these letters are non-flexible yet provide a consistent glow, effectively imitating a tungsten filament.
Lightweight enough for versatile use, they can be glued to surfaces, sewn onto fabric, or tied with fishing line. As a single 'big long LED,' they allow for easy PWM dimming. Simply power with 3V by connecting to both ends, observing the cathode symbol for polarity. If it doesn't light up, try reversing the connection.
Compatible with Arcade Button Quick-Connect Wire Pairs or suitable for soldering or clipping to bottom tabs, they offer versatility for creative arrangement and installation.
